Custom Gun Model Working in UDK

Hooray! Actually got my gun model into a game. Still need to change the muzzle flash and add in our own bullets, but I'm so glad I got this working. As it turns out learning Flash ActionScript did come in handy. I don't think I would have been able to make it work otherwise.

Revolver Model-WIP

Here's a model I've been working on while not yelling at Flash. Just the start of the Diffuse Map and I added in a quick Specular Map to see what would happen. Polycount is a bit high at 3,448 but the team wanted a super detailed model for the main weapon. Could probably drop it to 1,000 and it would still look okay. Haven't tested it in game though.

Space Assault Madness

Done for now. Class is over and I'm pretty sick of Flash for a while. At least I got most of the stuff I wanted to work, working. Added in a Pause feature, but it didn't quite work as it tend to break the game if you paused in between waves of enemies. Hopefully I can figure out how to do it later. Overall I'm pretty pleased with the results.

Space Assault Work in Progress

Well, I thought I'd post what I've been working on even though it's not fully finished. This is my top down space shooter. Still lots of bugs to work out but at least I've got somewhat of a playable game.

Hot Shots Diner Game

Yay! I got it to post. Clearly not game of the year, but I got all the scripts working. Next up is a Platformer. Crossing finger that it looks much better than this one.

Actual games coming soon

Really excited about officially learning to use Flash. Been trying to learn this program for years and could never wrap my brain around it. My new class has a great book and I should be able to post the games I create to my site. Won't be too spectacular, but should be amusing.

New Videos!!!

Finally got some respectable stuff to post. Finished up my 3d Modeling and Animation IV class on Wednesday and I've got two new videos. The first is a fly though that could honestly be better, but I rushed it a bit at the end and didn't get nearly enough time to do more with the camera or the texture. The second is a turntable of the robot character I created. I really like how the glow effect came out.

Glitch!

Just started playing this new game a couple of days ago. A-Mazing!

Not amazing in the sense that it's ultra realistic, but the depth of the game play is superb. The artistry is really good too. Bright colors, good shadows, and really interesting lighting. So many thing to explore.

But the best part for me is that whoever is drawing the mushrooms did their research. There are all kinds in this persistent multiplayer world. There are chanterells, boletes, amanitas, shelf mushies, trumpets, and even some enoki like mushrooms. BRAVO I say.
